Downtown Bentonville: Where to Park

We’ve heard your cries and we are here to help! Read on for a complete guide to all of the available public parking in Downtown Bentonville!

  • Street Parking: There is street parking available throughout downtown. Like any parking lot, be on the lookout for signage to review parking rules and hours. And be prepared to parallel park.
  • SE 2nd and SE A Street Lot: The parking lot behind Oven & Tap off of A Street is many things. It is small, it is hidden, it is soon to be gone to make room for a new community project, but it is available and free. If you’re traveling down Main Street heading toward the square you’ll want to hang a right on Third Street next to Motto. This road will take you to the lot. It can also be entered coming off A Street or turning down Second Street.
  • Behind Compton Lot: Due to the ongoing construction of the new Compton Hotel, it may be hard to spot this lot that is open to the public after 4:30 PM and on weekends. The size of it is a bit limiting so it is sometimes tough to find parking here after morning hours but you could get lucky! It is located just behind the Compton building in between A and B streets.
  • Gravel Lot on NE 2nd Street: Be cautious when walking or with the type of vehicle you own while parking in this lot, as it is made of gravel; HOWEVER, it is free and open to the public! You’ll find it just down the hill from the Benton County Courthouse off of 2nd Street to your left.
  • NE B Street: There are multiple parking areas in this small pocket just off the square. If you strike out in the gravel lot, don’t worry because you won’t have to travel far for another option! Herein lies another parking lot called the “NE B Street” lot, located just down B Street off of Second. And yes, it is free and open to the public.
  • 21c Museum Hotel Parking Garage: Pst. You know what’s better than a parking lot? A parking garage. More spaces, covered parking, and it’s located right off the square behind the 21c Museum Hotel. So, if you’re staying at the lovely 21c Hotel, then this is perfect for you. If you’re not and just happen to be visiting downtown, the upper level is always open to the public, and the lower level becomes available after 5:30 PM.
  • N Main Street: Adjacent to the parking garage that sits on Main Street, this lot is not a far walk from the square and has zero time restrictions, unlike the garage across the street.
  • Under the Water Tower, NW 2nd Street: Downtown guests will find this lot very accommodating as it has plenty of spaces and gives you a great view of Bentonville’s water tower. There are also several local favorites nearby like Preacher’s Son, Mezzaluna, and Loveless Cocktail Bar!
  • SW A and SW Second Street: These two lots make a great pair as they sit right across from each other on A Street near the corner of A and Second. Both lots are free, but they fill up fast.
  • Local Churches: There are a handful of churches in the downtown area, and they are kind enough to allow their parking lots to be used by the public on days and times when church is not in session. You can find available parking at the First Baptist Church - Bentonville (two lots), First United Methodist Church, and the Bentonville Church of Nazarene.

These are just some of the best and available parking spots in the downtown area. I hope this guide is helpful in making parking a little easier to navigate. If you need recommendations on places to eat and things to do, be sure to check out the other guides we have on our website, as well as a parking map!
