Bentonville Drips: Best Coffee Shops

Coffee shops can be so much more than just your average cup of joe. They can be a place to get work done, meet with friends, go on a date, be a safe haven to unwind, or enjoy your own company with a good book!

If you’ve lived in Bentonville long enough, you know we have an abundance of delicious coffee options to choose from, and if you’re visiting, or new to the area, you may want some suggestions on ones to check out. So here’s your ultimate guide to the best lattes, drips, and pours in town.

  • 211 Cafe

Hours: Mon-Thurs 9:00 AM - 7:30 PM. Friday 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Saturday 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM

What’s better than coffee and a good book? Answer: very few things. So that’s why you must hit up 211 Cafe located inside the Bentonville Public Library.

Operated by Mauricio Guererro, 211 Cafe originates from Guatemala, Guerrero’s home country. Everything from the coffee to the chocolate stems from Guatemala. 211 Cafe roasts their coffee locally, every week or two, so it's always fresh. The coffee is also unique, with it all being a medium roast. This helps give it the maximum amount of coffee flavor without that bitter taste (yuck).

They have all the usual drinks you’ve come to expect, plus quality breakfast & lunch sandwiches, grilled cheese, and tasty pastries all at a reasonable price. Simply put, go out and support your local library AND local businesses!

  • Airship Coffee

Hours: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM Daily

Now I have to ask, what’s better than one Airship Coffee location in the downtown area? THREE Airship Coffees in the downtown area.

For their flagship location, you’ll want to head over to Fifth Street. Along with the cozy neighborhood coffee vibes, it also gives you a great view of Airship's coffee roastery. According to their website, the claim to fame at Fifth Street is the tacos and kombucha. From brisket burritos, chips & salsa to vegan options and baked goods, everything is made fresh daily.

If you love their coffee but don’t find yourself near Fifth Street, not to worry, because you can also head to their locations at the Pumphouse and inside the Ledger building just off Bentonville Square! The Pumphouse was originally built in 1954 to bring water from Ford Springs to the entire town, and Airship says it hopes to begin a new chapter at the historic building.

The Ledger is Bentonville’s latest architectural wonder. It’s a community office space and an actual bikeable building! Be sure to check it out and grab some Airship Coffee inside.

  • Heroes Coffee

Hours: Mon-Fri 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM Sat-Sun 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Do you want to be a hero and support local businesses? Then head over to the corner of 8th and A Street and grab a cup of joe from Heroes Coffee.

Their location brings a cozy vibe with unique seating arrangements, such as lofts and comfortable couches to plug into a good book or laptop. They offer coffee, tea, smoothies, merchandise, and cafe food if you want to indulge in a snack as well.

  • Onyx Coffee

Hours: Daily 6:30 AM - 8:00 PM

Is anyone counting how many businesses located in Northwest Arkansas are known WORLDWIDE? Someone should, because one of them is for sure Onyx Coffee Lab.

Onyx’s Bentonville location, known as “B’onyx,” is as much a hub for locals as it is a retreat for the national and international business community traveling to NWA throughout the year, says the company. What’s unique about this location is it was Onyx’s first location they designed from the ground up.

Being right in the hub of booming Downtown Bentonville, inside sits a reservable meeting room to house meetings, as well as comfortable indoor and outdoor seating. Now, let’s get to the coffee. Onyx offers dozens of roasts, teas, chocolates, a wholesale program, and even classes that teach you how to make coffee! With dozens of options to choose from, you’re sure to find one that suits your taste buds.

  • The Meteor Cafe

Hours: Daily 7:00 AM - 10:00 PM

If you are having a conversation with someone about Bentonville, it is very likely that after discussing Walmart, you are going to discuss the bike scene.

The Meteor Cafe offers a combination of coffee and biking. Inside, their cafe offers specialty coffee drinks, an expansive selection of craft beer and natural wine, house-made baked goods, an ingredient-driven food menu, and delicious Roman-style pizza.

The bike shop offers merchandise, bike service, custom-built bikes if you are looking to purchase, and even group activities to engage the community.

  • Two Friends Books

Hours: Mon-Sat 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM Sunday 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Friendship, coffee, and books. These are some of the beautiful things life has to offer. What if I told you that you could have all three in the same place? That’s right, Two Friends Books, owned by two women named Monica and Rachel (I know, right?) is your one-stop shop for books, coffee, and even alcoholic drinks, locally baked goods, and more.

The bookstore's shelves are stocked with a curated selection of new and used books from authors hand-selected and recommended by Rachel, Monica, and their friends. They also offer book clubs and host book-related events!

For my money, these are the top coffee places in our beloved Bentonville you should check out if you’re looking to get out and about.

From chill vibes to warm coffee, you can’t go wrong with any of these locations. Even if you don’t like coffee, they still offer a great place to hang out!
