Enter the Capital of Cool at August First Friday
Bentonville, AR - First Friday presented by Walmart is transforming Downtown Bentonville into the Capital of Cool!! The free, family-friendly festival on August 1 will feature airplane flyovers, bike activities, Orbitron, stilt walkers, an escape room, and much more– all showcasing how our city is one of the coolest places in the WORLD!!
Downtown Bentonville Incorporated is proud to partner with Drip Drop this month, helping families stay hydrated during the hot summer time. Be sure to stop by their booth for samples of their newest flavor drop, Zero Sugar Peach! Families can stop by the Drip Drop booth and grab a sample along with a bottle of Voss Water to increase hydration during NWA summers.
Food trucks open at 11:00 AM and will remain open until 9:00 PM if you’re looking for a quick grab and go option. If you’re looking for fun lunch plans or a nice dinner selection, make sure you make plans to check out the great restaurants the area has to offer.
First Friday festivities continue at noon with free yoga on the square led by Yoga Story NWA. Booths will officially open at 3:00 PM (giveaways and samples begin at 5:00 PM).
Bentonville has beautiful murals around town, but have you ever seen one painted live? Friday is your chance! During First Friday, catch Erin Ashcraft bringing a Bentonville-themed mural to life! She’ll be located next to the mainstage. Like what you see? Visit the DBI booth between 5:00 and 7:00 PM for the silent auction to win the mural. Proceeds from the auction will go to our August non-profit partner, the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network.

August First Friday will be divided into two distinct zones: Venture Village, sponsored by Deep Roots Health Center, and Travelers Trail, sponsored by McLarty Daniel. Each zone will be packed with fun vendors and activity booths for you to explore. Tune into your sense of adventure and community, and get ready for a stellar time!
