Bentonville, AR - This Saturday Downtown Bentonville is ready to welcome the holiday season with its annual The City of Bentonville’s Lighting of the Square.
Over the last several months the City of Bentonville Parks and Recreation crews have been hard at work, hanging more than 30 miles of lights, and decorating the famed Downtown Bentonville Square.
The family-friendly, free event welcomes everyone and is produced by the non-profit Downtown Bentonville Incorporated. The Lighting of the Square is presented by Mondelez International and Community Coffee, with support from First National Bank of NWA for Photos with Santa.
Headlining the entertainment is the Perry Ryan Theatre Company and NWA Ballet Theatre. These local organizations have curated a Christmas Spectacular full of music, dance, and holiday magic. This show begins at 5:00 pm on the Mainstage.
Bentonville Mayor Stephanie Orman will flip the switch to illuminate thousands of lights on the Bentonville Square at 6:00pm sharp (no earlier, no later).
Grab a coat and come early as the holiday festivities begin at 4pm.
With the construction in Downtown Bentonville, DBI recommends that guests arrive early. Attached is a road closures map for the event.
This event is made possible by our wonderful community partners. Thanks to Walmart, the Walton Family Foundation, Visit Bentonville, and the City of Bentonville.
Please reach out to Aaron Nolan for BROLL and interview requests.
