Bentonville, AR - With the holidays in full swing, Downtown Bentonville Incorporated (DBI) is bringing back Shop the Block.  To celebrate Small Business Saturday, DBI will distribute $10,000 worth of Downtown Dollars to local families for free.

Registered participants will receive 20 Downtown Dollars to spend like cash at participating businesses and restaurants through the close of business on Saturday, November 25th.

“Shop the Block is more than just shopping; it's a community effort to support the resilience of our small businesses. It’s an investment in our downtown, a nod to our entrepreneurial spirit, and a celebration of Downtown Bentonville’s unique character. We're not just boosting sales; we're strengthening the heart of our community," said DBI Executive Director Dana Schlagenhaft.

Here’s how it works:  

• Starting at 11am on Tuesday, November 21st, families can register for $20 worth of Downtown Dollars.  (only one registration per family)
• It will be first come, first serve.
• From 10am to 2pm on Saturday, November 25th, families can pick up the Downtown Dollars at the Downtown Bentonville Inc tent located on the downtown square.
• The Downtown Dollars can be used at participating downtown businesses on Saturday, November 25th. (No change will be given)

This event is focused on infusing local businesses during the most wonderful time of year, and giving families the chance to grab a unique Christmas gift at a local store.
