Bentonville is a town on the move, and In Motion will celebrate everything that moves. Segway is September’s monthly sponsor and will bring a unique experience to the square. Test ride the latest Segway kick scooter and take home a small gift to remember the fun.
Headlining the music for First Friday is Kris Allen. Allen is an Arkansas native who won American Idol season 8 in 2009. He has had a successful career in music winning a BMI Music Award in 2011 for his song ‘Live Like We’re Dying’. His latest release ‘Thunderclouds’ is a duet with another former American Idol contestant, Haley Reinhart, and it is receiving rave reviews from fans.
Allen talked about Downtown Bentonville’s First Friday, saying, “I am always excited to come back and play in Arkansas and excited to be a part of this event.”
The fun at the First Friday stage will include several high-flying shows by Flippenout Trampoline Show and performances by DJ Girlfriend. Kris Allen will take the stage at 7:30 p.m.
First Friday ‘Lunch Break’ continues this month, allowing folks to enjoy the food trucks around the square a little early. Our local food trucks will start serving lunch at 11:00 a.m.
As always parking is difficult, so DBI encourages everyone to arrive early. The full First Friday event begins at 3:00 p.m.
DBI and Northwest Medical Center - Bentonville is offering a free shuttle service for attendees with mobility issues. Guests utilizing the shuttle are encouraged to park at the FBC West parking lot, located at 2nd Street and B Street. Signage will show drivers where to park. A 16-passenger ADA shuttle will pick up and drop off drivers and their passengers to a safe location within the event’s footprint. The service runs from 4 to 8 p.m.
Downtown Bentonville Inc. and our partners Trailblazers, People for Bikes NWA, Runway Group, and Visit Bentonville encourage our community to ride to First Friday! A Downtown Bentonville Park and Ride map has been created to aid in visiting downtown Bentonville without a car. Use any set of wheels (or even just one) and follow a suggested route available at the link below:

The map includes bike racks, bike shops, and more to help in planning.
Thanks to our First Friday partners, Walton Family Foundation, Walmart, Visit Bentonville, The Walmart Museum, and the City of Bentonville.
