BENTONVILLE, AR - Downtown Bentonville Incorporated is proud to announce a new partnership with Gather to Scatter.  This will help fund the Pop! Activity Club, which is one of the most popular programs at the Bentonville Farmers Market.

The Pop! Program allows kids to receive free ‘POP! dollars’ to use on produce at any of the participating booths at the Bentonville Farmers Market.  Once a month children simply stop by the DBI Pop! Activity booth to receive their vouchers.  The next Pop! event is coming up this Saturday, September 7th.

“Gather to Scatter is a new nonprofit composed of volunteers who want to gather resources from individuals, companies, and businesses in the community and scatter those resources among nonprofit organizations serving those in need,” said Irene Medrano from Gather to Scatter.  “One of the basic goals of Gather to Scatter is to directly help people within our community and keep funds local, and the Pop! Activity Club is a perfect example of that goal. We are proud to be a part of the endeavor to educate and help provide nutrition for local kids.”

Program is a special activity at the Bentonville Farmers Market, not only are we able to provide produce to kids, but it also stimulates local farmers’ business”, said Dana Schlagenhaft, Executive Director of DBI.  “We cannot thank Gather to Scatter enough for joining this partnership to encourage healthy eating for all children in our community.”

The Bentonville Farmers Market is every Saturday from 7:30 am to 1:00 pm from April 13th until October 26th.
