Known for its lively Saturday market, Downtown Bentonville Inc. is launching a midweek farmers market starting on May 6th.
The market will be held on Thursdays from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and will complement the established Saturday market.
“Our market is known for locally-grown, in-season produce, meats, cheeses, and more. We will highlight that variety in our Thursday market,” said Bentonville Farmers Market Manager Stephanie Marpe.
During the Thursday Farmers Market, shoppers will have an opportunity to browse 10-12 vendors on the Main Street side of the Bentonville Square.
The market will feature a rotating schedule of local musicians and live painting exhibitions.
“The afternoon and evening midweek hours allow shoppers to stop at the market on the way home from work, enjoy an evening strolling through our vibrant downtown, or utilize the market as an efficient way to restock groceries,” said Marpe.
“We also have an online market pick-up on Thursdays, which allows customers to order through the Bentonville Farmers Market app and pick up purchases downtown. Now they will be able to browse options that vendors have brought to the physical market as well,” said Marpe.
The Bentonville Farmers Market has steadily expanded over the last ten years and experienced additional demand as it remained open, with additional safety guidelines implemented during the COVID-19 pandemic.
As with the Saturday market, all shoppers located within the market footprint are encouraged to wear face masks and maintain a 6-foot physical distance from other guests. Vendor tents will be distanced ten feet apart to allow for ample social distancing.
