Stoic Brews Alternative was born out of necessity and passion. Owner Rebecca Davitt has been gluten-free for nine years due to health reasons, and like many others with dietary restrictions, she struggled to find safe places to enjoy craft beer and food without worry. The lack of truly gluten-free options in Northwest Arkansas often led to feelings of isolation—an experience shared by many in the gluten-free community. With fewer than 30 dedicated gluten-free breweries in the U.S., we saw an opportunity to bring real craft beer to those who have long been excluded from the experience. At Stoic Brews, we don’t remove gluten—we have redefined what beer can be. Using water, hops, yeast, and carefully selected fermentables, like millet, buckwheat, and rice, we craft just as complex, flavorful, and satisfying beer as any conventional brew. Whether you’re here because you must be or simply because you want to explore something different, we welcome you to join us in creating a more inclusive craft beer community.
The space is designed with Stoic philosophy at its core. It incorporates thought-provoking Stoic quotes throughout, encouraging reflection and conversation. Every design element is intentional—including its sound wave wall, which symbolizes the noise and distractions of daily life.
